Early 90’s
It all started when my grandfather Julio used to screen Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy movies every Sunday on his projector. When you watch moving pictures on a wall, it’s new and exciting when you’re a child. I was hooked ever since. All my memories with my grandad included movies; he taught me so much about the classics, and as I grew older I started reading books and critics’ reviews.
2008
My interest grew stronger and I felt the urge to write my own reviews so I started writing short reviews and rating on an application on Facebook called Flixter.
2010
Launch of tlkabtmovies.com with my partner, Vanessa Irani who encouraged me to start my very own blog, where I could review all the movies I watched. Later that year, I joined Twitter, where I gradually built an audience interested in what I had to say about movies. A Facebook page and Instagram account followed.
2015-2019
Co-Host on the Youtube show Movie Court in collaboration with Heyoka, in which Lebanese movies we discussed and Lebanese directors, filmakers and actors were interviewed.
