The Worst Movies of the Year [2014]

That’s “Taken” minus Liam Neeson and minus the fun. Awful, to say the least.

Another of too many movies where De Niro seems to be phoning in his performance,
and it’s a sad sad thing to witness. Piece of advice: Don’t ask, don’t watch. Review.

At the end, “Transcendence” does reach its own kind of perfection — it fails on every
conceivable level.  Full review.

Next to Thierry’s Friends’ crappy gadgets, I can’t think of a worse Valentine’s gift
than a ticket to see “Winter’s Tale”. How much I hate this movie? let me count the ways.

Not a chance. I realize that wit is no longer valued in silly Hollywood comedies,
but this film is witless, in every sense of that word.

This dreary, lamebrain comedy takes everything that was fresh and original in McCarthy
back in 2011 and beats it into the ground. Full review.
