Enjoyable sci- fi movie from the 50’s is not as great as “The Day The Earth Stood Still” or “Invasion Of The Body Snatchers” but is still incredibly entertaining. A group of scientists find themselves working on a secret project, only to realise that they have in fact been recruited by aliens to help them defend their home planet from an invasion. If you’re a sucker for old B/sci-fi movies, then you won’t have a problem enjoying this small, but fascinating film (I know I have). The special effects are first rate considering this was made in 1955! Great fun! And is this poster terrific or what?

Fun fact: “In August 1957, this film was being shown on a double bill with Invaders from Mars”
