Terrible horror flick leaves a sickening aftertaste. Keanu Reeves (in a career suicide role) plays a devoted family man who is left home alone for the weekend. A knock on the door in the middle of a rainy night is the first step into a nightmarish experience in which Reeves’ character (and the audience) are tormented by two young women seeking shelter. Did I mention that it’s all downhill from there? This pointless film from director Eli Roth starts out promisingly well but quickly descends into seemingly endless sequences of torture that are as boring as they are gruesome to watch. Do you really want to pay money to see this?
