Will Ferrell is dynamite as Megamind, the supervillain who plans to kill his nemesis Metroman and take over Metrocity. But as soon as his dream comes true, he realises how pointless life can be without a hero to fight. Smart animated feature from Dreamworks isn’t as great as some of the earlier movies I’ve seen this year (“Toy Story 3”, “How To Train Your Dragon”), but still has some surprises up its sleeves. A very funny cast (Tina Fey, Jonah Hill, Ben Stiller and Brad Pitt) make this an enjoyable ride, and that’s all I ask for from an animated movie. The 3D effects add charm to it aswell (it really works this time). “Megamind” is a pleasant surprise, and even if it’s not the best I’ve seen this year, it’s still worth checking out. And remember: “All men must choose between two paths. Good is the path of honour, friends and family. Evil… well, it’s just cooler.”
