An improvement over its predecessor, but that’s not saying much. In this third (and unfortunately not last) chapter, Bella is still torn between her love for Edward (the dreadful Robert Patinson), and her friendship with “wolfman” Jacob. Meanwhile, Seattle is ravaged by a series of mysterious killings, as the malicious vampire Victoria prepares for revenge. Slow, talky, with not much action going on, even if the last 20 minutes save this from being a complete waste of time. Fans of the books might find something here, while others (the likes of me) will probably fall asleep halfway through. I guess I’ll never understand why these movies have become so popular. Hopefully, we’ll get to see some real action in the final chapter (but I highly doubt it).
