In a post apocalyptic world, there are no humans living anymore. Instead, the world is ruled by machines with an appetite for destruction. When 9 comes to life, he discovers a small community of others like him who are trying to survive and soon realizes that they must save the world or live in darkness forever. The premise is good, and the effects are first rate, but the movie loses its magic after 45 minutes before it reaches a predictable conclusion. Lets put it this way: it could have been way better.
