I don’t know what Underworld purists (if any) would make of this fifth (and hopefully last) installment, but personally, I couldn’t wait for it to end. And when it was finally over, I breathed a sigh of relief. “Blood Wars”, once again starring Kate Beckinsale as the vampire death dealer still fighting the war between Lycans and vampires, is a loud, lousy mess from start to finish. I never expected a great film, but when a movie has absolutely nothing new to offer, you start to wonder why it was even made in the first place. The plot barely offers any surprises and the action scenes (though well staged at times) become repetitive and dull as we move along towards a ridiculous finale. Devotees will probably enjoy seeing Kate Beckinsale back in action, but even she can’t save “Blood Wars” from being unimaginative, repetitious and just plain terrible. I say enough of this crap already.

As someone who hasn’t watched any of underworld movies, do you recommend watching any of the of the movies in the franchise ?
I compare this franchise to the resident evil one, they keep making more and they keep going down the drain but for some reason you just have to watch them. It is maybe because I really enjoyed the first two movies.
Keep up the great work,
Thank you Elie. I would recommend the first Underworld perhaps, out of curiosity. But all the sequels look the same to me, just like the Resident Evil films.
