Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire [2005]

As Harry Potter is about to start his fourth year at Hogwarts, he finds himself selected to compete in the Triwizard tournament in which students from 3 schools participate in a series of challenging contests. Meanwhile, Voldemort’s death eaters are gaining strength, giving evidence that the Dark Lord is ready to rise again. By far the most stylish (and darkest) movie of the series so far, this 4th installment is long, but incredibly entertaining and never fails to satisfy. Fans of the book might not be entirely fulfilled (such is the case with every Harry Potter film), but the story and the performances are first rate (which makes it my favorite of the series so far). Ralph Fiennes makes an excellent Lord Voldemort and steals the show in every scene he appears in! And check out Robert Pattinson as Cedric Diggory long before his “Twilight” days (who could have predicted right?).

Rating: 3.5/4

        hahaha :p

  2. Im spending the night searching for what you had to say about my favorite movies. I saw the review for Deathly Hallows 2 and agree on everything…except it being the best film in the series. THIS is the best Harry Potter film, and it definitely deserves a 4 rating! It’s totally loaded with everything, and one of the reasons this is the best is because it is the first time we saw a Voldemort. You’re right Ralph was perfect in the role, and the scene in the graveyard is etched in my mind forever. The ghosts of Lily and James were perfect as well. Very nice review!

    1. I still think Goblet is the best one of the series. Deathly Hallows 2 wrapped things up brilliantly, but if I had to watch a Potter movie now I’d go for Goblet.
