                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Once you accept the fact that this isn’t your old fashioned Robin Hood, then you can enjoy this movie. This is the story of Robin Longstride, long before he became a famous outlaw. Call it “The Legend Begins”. Russel Crowe perfectly fits the role of our hero, and he is surrounded by a very talented cast (Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Mark Strong and Vanessa Redgrave). I can honestly say that I really enjoyed this version of “Robin Hood”. It might not be a masterpiece, but there’s plenty to enjoy here; beautiful sceneries, great battle scenes and a great deal of humour aswell. The ending does leave the door open for a sequel; I’m sure Ridley Scott can pull it off anyday.

    i’ve always enjoyed Ridley Scott’s movies (and his brother tony of course), and this is not the first time he teams up with Russel Crowe. The result? a great movie about Robin hood long before becoming an outlaw. Dont expect you’ll be watching a remake of the 1991 classic starring Kevin Costner.
    As u said Anis its not masterpiece, but yet it sits there as one of the best movies of 2010.

      Ppl who didnt like it expected to see smthing similar to kevin costner’s movie. But i liked the fact that its a fresh story. I think we can expect a sequel now.
