Electrifying remake of the 1974 movie of the same name about a criminal mastermind (John Travolta with a badass attitude) who hijacks a subway train and threatens to kill all passengers unless a ransom is paid in one hour. It’s up to Denzel Washington and co to save the day and prevent the death of all the innocent people on board. Now all I can say is that this movie kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and that’s what I loved about it. It doesn’t try to be original or anything, yet it still delivers an amazing and thrilling ride. It’s 90 minutes of pure adrenaline. This was Denzel Washington’s 4th collaboration with director Tony Scott, and possibly their best; there’s plenty to enjoy here, especially if you’re a sucker for train movies (you might want to check out “Unstoppable” aswell). Travolta is unforgettable in a one a kind, chilling role. Do not miss this train.
