A half-decent movie is a rare thing to find on Netflix, so I have to give “The Perfection” credit for keeping me intrigued. I knew absolutely nothing about it prior to seeing it, so it was up to director Richard Shepard and his team of writers to keep me hooked. And at 90 minutes, this thriller starring Allison Williams (“Get Out”) as a former musical prodigy who seeks out the new star of her old school (played by Logan Browning) has enough twists and turns for two movies. I admit: up until a ridiculous climax, the movie had my attention. I can’t talk about the story itself without revealing key points. So I’ll let you discover it for yourself. It’s not a masterpiece by any means, but you will definitely enjoy what this movie has to offer from the comfort of your own couch.
