Team up Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg for a comedy movie and you should get something funny right? Wrong. That was Daddy’s Home back in 2015. Now team these two up with Mel Gibson and John Lithgow and you should get something better, right? Wrong again. “Daddy’s Home 2”, and much like “A Bad Moms Christmas”, is everything wrong about holiday movies. It’s stupid, relentless, and painfully unfunny. I can’t remember the last time I felt like walking out of a movie. The generic plot finds Brad and Dusty trying to deal with their annoying dads over the Christmas season. That’s it for plot, folks. All these talented actors huff and puff to deliver one memorable joke. But there’s no helium in this balloon. Scenes drag out or end abruptly. Jokes fall flat over and over again. I could go on, but do I have to? Daddy’s Home 2 will make you hate the holidays. It’s that bad.
