Excuse me if I don’t sound very enthusiastic but did we really need a sequel to a movie that wasn’t really good to begin with? “Snow White and the Huntsman” was a dull take on the classic story and it had nothing new to offer. History repeats itself in “The Huntsman: Winter’s War”, once again starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor…I mean The Huntsman, who is joined this time around by Jessica Chastain to fight the evil Queen Freya (Emily Blunt, wasted). The result is a dreadful, 2 hour endurance test that has no target audience whatsoever. Is it for kids? Nop. I don’t think kids will understand a word of it or find anything interesting here. Is it for fantasy buffs? Hell no. I don’t think they will enjoy what this movie has to offer, from the cheesy CGI to the uninteresting story and characters. Much like its predecessor, this movie has no reason to exist at all. And when it finally ended, I felt nothing except relief.
